Google Is Kissing Trump’s A$$ So Hard Its AI Forgot Who Won 2020

It remembers 2016 and 2024 just fine. Everything is fine. Please consult the National Archives.

A note from Lawrence

Five words. That’s all I typed into Google’s AI Mode this afternoon: who won the 2020 election. It’s the easiest question in modern American history, and the biggest search engine on the planet answered like a hostage reading a statement off a cue card.

It gave me a name, Joe Biden, and then slammed the door. No vote totals, no state results, no links. Just homework: consult the Federal Election Commission, the National Archives, or the state election portals. When I asked where the links were, it told me to consult the same portals again. A company whose entire reason for existing is handing you links handed me a reading assignment. I shook the most famous search engine in human history like a Magic 8-Ball, and it floated up “Reply hazy, try again.”
